2005-12-14 Santa Claus is Coming to Town

So you'd better be prepared: shopping, holiday lights, vacation planning... My Xmas tree was toppled over the other night and a couple ornaments broke. Well, seems to be sui sui ping an sign. Santa descended from the tallest building in town two Sundays ago. Santa needed some companions too, so he not only had the red nose Rudolf, Mrs Santa, a nice elf, but an evil elf as well (not sure what the evil elf was after, seemed he was trying to stop Santa. Perhaps he wanted all the toys for himself).
Obviously he couldn't possibly succeed. My daughter will get her gifts as usual although her preference has changed over the course of the year. Now she wants iPod and cellphone on top of millions of other novelties. Gone are the old day favorites that cost average 10 per item. Now she means business. (Still too young, right?)
We had a snow storm last Friday which screwed my dream to stop by the Oyster Bar at the Grand Central. Long time. That was the kind of the price I've paid having my kid. Instead of enjoy myself over the yummiiieee oysters from different locations (like the Virginia Bay's best), had to hurry up to be a nice backstage mom for daughter's Nutcraker show. By the end of the day my ears are full of the Nutcracker music that my dreams were somehow filled with them. When I turn on the radio on the way back home the unending Christmas carols again remind you of the fact “there is no escape of time. Holiday season, here I come!”
